Appliance Rebate Program

As a result of the District of Columbia government's budget constraints for Fiscal Year 2011 (FY2011), Pepco's District of Columbia Residential Lighting and Appliance Program will not be funded by the District government in FY2011. Pepco received authorization for this program under the Clean and Affordable Energy Act (D.C. Law 17-250) through FY2011. However, the decision to rescind the funding for this program means that Pepco's Residential Lighting and Appliance Program will not operate in FY2011 and will end as of August 15, 2010.

Therefore, Pepco’s District of Columbia customers should note:

• The discounts on Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs) offered at select retail locations will no longer be available in stores after August 15, 2010.
• Mail-in rebate applications for a refrigerator, room air conditioner, or electric water heater must be received by August 15, 2010. All completed applications that have been submitted by that date will be processed within six to eight weeks.
