Properly maintained heating and cooling equipment runs more efficiently, lasts longer, lowers your energy costs and is safer for your family. A tune-up by a participating HVAC contractor** will ensure that your unit is clean, has good air flow, provides better temperature and humidity control, and operates at optimum efficiency.
Typical tune-up adjustments include cleaning the outdoor condenser, checking for refrigerant leaks, checking air flow, and tightening electrical connections.
* Cost of tune-up service will vary depending on scope of adjustments and/or repairs necessary to optimize equipment operation. HVAC systems are required to meet a minimum level of efficiency to earn a rebate.
**Any participating HVAC contractor can help you determine if you qualify for a rebate for an HVAC tune-up or system replacement. HVAC contractors are independent companies and are not affiliated with Pepco.
