Home Performance With ENERGY STAR® Program

Limited Time Offer Ending Soon

Eligible Pepco customers* may qualify for larger rebates on home energy-saving upgrades that include replacing a fossil-fueled (natural gas, oil, or propane) water heating and/or HVAC system with an electric system.

To take advantage of this limited-time offer, start by completing a Home Energy Assessment and working with a Participating Contractor to identify qualifying upgrades. Your contractor must submit an approved scope of work to reserve your rebates by December 31, 2026, and all approved work must be completed within 90 days of your reservation approval date.

To have your rebate processed this year, your Participating Contractor must also submit your completed project application by December 31, 2026. Applications will be processed in the order received, and due to anticipated high demand, some processing and payments may extend into early 2027. Projects submitted without an approved reservation or after the December 31 deadline will be placed in pending status while awaiting approval from the Maryland Public Service Commission regarding continuation of the energy efficiency programs.

Contact a Participating Contractor today to get started.

*Eligible customers must have an active residential Pepco electric account and reside in a single-family residence that is not a condominium or apartment, with no separately metered units above or below the residence.

The EmPOWER Maryland charge funds programs that can help you reduce your energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and save you money. Since the inception of the EmPOWER Maryland program in 2008, the programs have saved $14.5 billion on installed measures at a cost of $4.1 billion. In addition to new program costs, this charge includes paying off the uncollected costs that were accrued over time by programs required by the EmPOWER statute and authorized by the Commission. In accordance with House Bill 864 the uncollected amounts will be fully paid by the end of 2032.
