Connecting a Compatible Smart Thermostat

By connecting your compatible smart thermostat to Pepco Smart Home, you can:

Control your home’s heating and cooling system from the Pepco Smart Home app on your mobile device.
Set energy-saving rules for your smart thermostat when you’re asleep or away from home.
Automatically adjust your home’s temperature as Pepco Smart Home learns your preferences.
Monitor your energy use and temperature data in the Pepco Smart Home app to boost efficiency and savings.

Compatible thermostats include ecobee (ecobee3, ecobee3 lite, and ecobee4), Emerson (Sensi Classic), and Honeywell Lyric (Round, T5 and T6 Pro) thermostats.

Adding an ecobee Thermostat

Step 1: From the home screen in the app, tap Devices on the bottom of the screen > + in the top right > Add a Device > ecobee Thermostat

Step 2: Enter your ecobee account credentials into the email and password fields of the Pepco Smart Home app and click Log in.

Step 3: Click Accept to give the Pepco Smart Home app permission to operate your ecobee thermostat. You will then see an “Authorized successfully!” message.

Step 4: Next, navigate back to Devices, using the “back” buttons in the top right corner of the app. You should now see your ecobee thermostat included in the device list under “Climate Control.”

Adding an Emerson Thermostat

Step 1: From the home screen in the app, tap Devices on the bottom of the screen From the home screen in the app, tap Devices on the bottom of the screen > + in the top right > Add a Device > ecobee Thermostat

Step 2: Enter your Emerson account credentials into the email and password fields of the Pepco Smart Home app and click Log in.

Step 3: Click Accept to give the Pepco Smart Home app permission to operate your Emerson thermostat. You will then see an “Authorized successfully!” message.

Step 4: Next, navigate back to Devices, using the “back” buttons in the top right corner of the app. You should now see your Emerson thermostat included in the device list under “Climate Control.”

Adding a Honeywell Lyric Thermostat

Step 1: From the home screen in the app, tap Devices on the bottom of the screen From the home screen in the app, tap Home > + > Honeywell Thermostat.

Step 2: Enter your Honeywell Lyric account credentials into the email and password fields of the Pepco Smart Home app and click Log in.

Step 3: Click Accept to give the Pepco Smart Home app permission to operate your Honeywell Home thermostat. You will then see an “Authorized successfully!” message.

Step 4: Next, navigate back to Devices using the “back” button in the top right corner of the app. You should now see your Honeywell Lyric thermostat included in the device list under “Climate Control.”
